# Silver Market Outlook – October 2026

“While silver prices softened alongside other precious metals over the course of September, they have held up at historically elevated levels. Prices were able to sustain themselves above the $60 level, despite various headwinds to the precious metals sector during September. Silver prices first moved above this level in December 2025. One of the factors that has repeatedly hurt silver investor sentiment is the inability of silver prices to sustain their gains.

So far silver has been doing a good job of holding on to its gains from 2025. Prior to 2025, silver’s previous major market high was $49.82, reached in April 2011. A combination of supportive fundamentals coupled with silver prices’ ability to sustain the gains from last year should help drive prices higher over the medium to long term.”
