Gold is in your pocket, or it’s in your bank, or it’s in your safe. It’s something that is real and it’s tangible. Gold and silver, I don’t ever want to exclude silver in this thing. Gold and silver have a unique set of properties as financial assets. They are not the liability of any other entity. The value is determined by what’s actually a free market on a global basis. They’re universally recognized as quasi money and as a financial asset. They are tangible. They have a set of attributes that protect their owners, both in times of big crisis and in times of small turbulence.
