The newest member of the Maple Leaf family of pure bullion coins, the palladium Maple Leaf was first minted in November 2005. Each palladium Maple Leaf coin features Canada's national symbol on the coin's reverse, and an updated portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side. The coin is struck in pure .9995 fine palladium at the Royal Canadian Mint and carries a face value of 50 Canadian dollars. Each coin is manufactured to meet the high quality standards of the Royal Canadian Mint, and the weight, purity and face value of each coin are all guaranteed by the Canadian government.
