Canadian Golden Eagle Gold Coins
Canadian Golden Eagle
Design and Specifications
Monex proudly presents the 2018 Golden Eagle, the fifth gold coin released in the Royal Canadian Mint's Call of the Wild series. Consisting of 1 ounce .99999 pure gold, this exquisite coin celebrates Canada's largest and most powerful bird of prey. Named for its gleaming feathers, the golden eagle shines majestically as it soars through the Canadian skies and is even more remarkable on the reverse side of this pure gold bullion coin.
Rendered in intricate detail by the Royal Canadian Mint engravers, the reverse side of the coin features a golden eagle head with exceptional attention to the bird's feathers, eyes and beak. The obverse side of the coin features the right-profile image of Queen Elizabeth II designed in 2003 by Canadian artist, Susanna Blunt.
The Canadian Golden Eagle coin has a diameter of 30 mm and is crafted from .99999 pure gold, the highest standard available in the world; and at $200 (CAD), has the highest face value of any legal tender 1 ounce gold bullion coins. For enhanced security, each coin includes a micro-engraved maple leaf laser mark in the coin's field. In the center of the mark, visible under magnification, the number "18" denotes the coin's year of issue.
A unique credit card sized packaging further protects the coin and is ideal for easy handling and storage. This packaging also features a built-in assay card signed by the RCM's Chief Assayer certifying the coin's authenticity and purity.
